Robert Harold Hegstrom 1924–2007

Robert was born on September 21, 1924 in St. Charles, IL. to Marjorie E. Cox and George C. Hegstrom. He married Anna J. Littlejohn on September 3, 1949 in St. Charles, Il. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Robert was a Guidance Counselor at Herscher High School and Herscher Grade School where he also served as a teacher. He was a member of the American Legion Post 795, VFW Post 2131, and a lifetime member of the National Education Association. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher, IL.

Robert is survived by two sons, John R. Hegstrom of Round Lake, IL., and David Hegstrom of Mirmar, FL and one daughter Margie Dominick of Herscher, IL., and two granddaughters Michelle Lynn Taylor of Herscher, IL., and Vanessa Marie [Ryan} Ramsey of Indianapolis, IN., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna, one daughter-in-law, Theresa Hegstrom and one sister Lois Van Ness
