Roy Leonard Carlson 1925–2011

Roy L. Carlson, 86 of Hudson, a Navy veteran, died May 15, 2011. Roy was a WWII veteran and served in the South Pacific. He was retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Akron, Ohio and was a member of the Pioneers. Roy was a natural musician and could play almost any instrument by ear; he enjoyed traveling and crossword puzzles. Roy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne; daughter, Cathy (Bob) Duncan; daughter-in-law, Pat Carlson; grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers, Cara (Jason) Imbs, Heather (Jim) Willis, Kristi (Lorin) Jackley and Eric Carlson, and great-grandchildren, Dylan Rogers, Jacob Imbs, Addison Imbs, Sage Willis, Hunter Willis and Amanda Willis, Lukas and Avery Jackley. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Charlotte Carlson and son, Jeff Carlson. Arrangements under the direction of North/Meadowlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, New Port Richey, FL.
